so i know i missed a lot last night but it was rad nonetheless. day was kind of fucked at first 'cause of a wedding i had to shoot that kept getting more and more protracted...anyway, i was supposed to be at Great Scott by 8 to shoot Wilderness for an assignment. i LEFT the wedding at 8:30, in Southern Maine. good thing it was a late show. I was able to still manage a quick session in with the awesome Wilderness dudes, one of which turned out to be originally from Kennebunk, right near where i grew up. Once we were done i got to see the fuckin completely fucked Tunnel Of Love. 3 dudes in matching outfits - short-shorts, striped nylons or whatever with the frontman in a cape and crown. i think 2 of the guys were brothers, that looked like young Mick Jaggers, especially the one who sang most of the time. (solidified by a closing, RIPPED cover of "Paint it Black" (most covered song ever?). they played on the floor and the crowd was totally "into it." I took some b&w pics. good time. Wilderness followed with some tripped-out explosions in the sky with vocals type (yes, a desciption borrowed from their label, and knowing EITS, I agree) hypnosis. http://www.wildernesssounds.com/ I left as the headliner (Night Rally) was starting. too long a day to head 2 hours north at 2 AM. and my youngest was up at 7 so I'm glad i booked when i did. it was a different show that kinda ruled. i know that doesn't make sense.
