at the Cricket Club in Irvington, NJ. 2 day fest, friday and saturday, 12-13. i went on Saturday. i was originally not going to go but decided to go because it was a good opportunity for merchandise and to see Vital Remains and Obituary. overall, i'd give it a 7 out of 10. there were like 5 good bands i saw, including those that i mentioned before, and also Testament, Anal Blast, and The Gathering (that chick can fucking growl!!!!!) within 15 minutes of arriving at the club i had purchased 11 cds and they are: Haemorrhage/Impaled: Dementia Rex Vile: Stench of the Deceased Leng Tch'e: Death by a Thousand Cuts Aborted: Engineering the Dead Goretrade: Ritual of Flesh Origin: Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas (this cd was stolen when my car was broken into last november so i had to replace it) Fleshgrind: Murder Without End Into Eternity: Buried in Oblivion God Forbid: Better Days Lacuna Coil: Unleashed Memories Cannibal Corpse: The Wretched Spawn Vital Remains made the whole night. They started the set with the intro for Dechristianize, and went right into the song. it was mosh-tastic. Glenn came out with this SICK ASS suit on. at first you couldn't even hear him singing (i guess the mask was in the way). overall their sound could have been alot better (i could barely hear the guitars) but they were still amazing. Tim Yeung is an amazing drummer and that mother fucker windmills while blasting!!! Tony Lazaro has a custom made guitar that has light up 666's in it. and Dave Suzuki. the man is a drummer, guitarist, and as i learned from last night, a singer as well. he did all of the backup screaming vocals. is there anything that guy can't do??? next year Jack Koshik should try and book more known metal bands for his fest. i gotta say there was a much better turnout than i had expected, but there were still too many crappy bands that played. and when u book bands like Testament and Obituary on the main stage, don't even bother booking bands to play at the same time on the second stage. they end up playing in front of 7 people (literally)
